Board of Management

Our Board of Management are some of our most ardent volunteers. The Board meets regularly and provides strategic guidance and planning for the organisation.

 

Chair: Geoff Caddy - BEChem (Hons)

Appointed to Board in 2008

Geoff has been a member of the Bethany Board since 2008, and was appointed Chair of the Board in 2016. Until his retirement in 2015 he spent nearly 40 years in the Oil industry in a range of technical and operational roles, including senior management positions over the last 20 years. His primary focus during that time was on Safety, Engineering, Risk and Cost Management. Geoff is a member of Rotary International.

 

Deputy Chair: Alicia Carroll - BA, LLB

Appointed to Board in 2009

Alicia is a lawyer with over 15 years of experience in a professional practice. Alicia has extensive experience in the areas of family law and commercial law. She currently works part time as a Senior Commercial Lawyer with a local law firm and cares for her two young children.

 

Deputy Chair: Ryan Leemon - BCom

Appointed to Board in 2013

Ryan is a registered company auditor and tax agent with over 15 years' experience in professional practice and a strong knowledge of the not-for-profit sector. Ryan is involved with local community groups within the Geelong region.

 

Chief Executive Officer: Grant Boyd - BA(Ed), GradDip Special Ed, GradDip Child Adol Psych, GAICD

Appointed to Board in 2008

Grant has had extensive experience in both the government and private sectors in education, disability and health. He has held practitioner, senior management and consulting roles.

 

Treasurer: Krystine Canny-Smith - CPA, BComm

Appointed to Board in 2013

Krystine, an accountant since 1998, is a qualified CPA and made the Dean's List at Deakin University. She has a keen interest in Geelong's northern suburbs and the not-for-profit sector.

 

 

 

 

 


Sean Mackay - DipFS (Brok), QPIB

Appointed to Board in 2010

Sean is an insurance broker, and brings to the Bethany Board his extensive experience working in the financial services industry, including over 20 years in commercial banking.

 

Sally Maes - Adv Dip of Business Management

Appointed to Board in 2016

Sally is a Human Resources generalist with extensive experience in a large multinational company including in the areas of learning and development, talent management, recruitment and workers compensation.

 

Jon Mamonski - MCom, BBusMark

Appointed to Board in 2012

Jon has significant experience in communications, community relations and marketing. As an accredited technology journalist, Jon writes regularly for Business News Magazine and appears weekly on local radio.

 

Leonie Saundry - MEd (AdminMan), MEd (Research), GradDip Bus (Tourism), Diploma of Business (Governance)

Appointed to Board in 2013

Leonie is an education specialist with a career history in the government and community sectors and experience in primary, secondary and adult education.

 

Lachlan McColl - BCom, M.AppFin, CA, FFin, CA BV Specialist

Appointed to Board in 2016

Lachie is a finance professional specialising in the valuation of businesses, legal entities and intangible assets. He is a Chartered Accountant with more than 15 years’ professional experience. Lachie has been a Board Member of GKA since 2012.
