Saver Plus is a matched savings program that can assist people to save for their child’s or their own education. The program helps:
- Reach a savings goal.
- Become a regular saver
- Build your money management skills
Saver Plus provides an opportunity to have every dollar saved (up to $500) matched with an additional dollar for your own or your family’s education related expenses.
Developed by theBrotherhood of St Laurence , the ANZ Bank and supported by the federal government Department of FaHCSIA the Saver Plus program aims to support families on low incomes establish a savings habit and become long term savers while building their financial skills, knowledge and confidence.
Your may be eligible to join Saver Plus if you or your partner:
- Have a current health Care Card or Pensioner Concession card
- Have some regular income from work
- Are at least 18 years old
- Are a parent of guardian of a child at school or are doing a vocational training course yourself
- Be able to demonstrate a capacity to save after regular expenses have been paid.
- Live in an area where Saver Plus is being delivered
Saver Plus participants set a savings goal, complete financial skills workshops and save regularly and consistently towards a savings goal.
