Employee Assistance Program

Employee Assistance Program

Bethany Community Support works with organisations to provide support to employees through the Employee Assistance Program.

An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential counselling service available to any employee of a member organisation who needs assistance with issues affecting their wellbeing, either personally or at the workplace. Counselling with qualified Bethany professionals can be provided over the phone or face-to-face.

Bethany’s counsellors have a broad range of qualifications and experience including counselling, psychotherapy, family therapy and social work. The EAP can be used for assistance with:

  • relationship issues
  • family difficulties
  • personal problems
  • stress and anxiety
  • interpersonal conflicts
  • alcohol or drug-related issues
  • grief and loss
  • financial hardship
  • issues affecting work.

The EAP can also assist with referral to other support services both provided by Bethany and other community support organisations if required.

Once your organisation has engaged Bethany as an EAP provider, each employee can access three free sessions per year. We provide brochures and cards that you can give to your employees so they can find out more information.

I’m an employee – are session times provided outside traditional ‘work hours’?

Yes, we can provide counselling outside 9.00am – 5.00pm. Talk with your counsellor to see what works best for your schedule.

How many sessions are provided?
