Sometimes it’s the little things that make a world of difference.
It’s easy for us to assume that the people around us are all living with the same resources we have.
There are people in our community who are missing out on all of the little things in life that enrich and greatly impact their wellbeing. They may be struggling financially or overcoming a vulnerable time in their lives.
At Bethany Community Support, we believe no one should be missing out – especially when going through tough times. We’ve been supporting Greater Geelong and Warrnambool’s communities for more than 150 years, and are trying our hardest to make those little things happen.
We need your help to make those little things happen.
Your donation will help us provide practical yet life enriching little things – that can make a world of difference to someone doing it tough at the moment.
Donate by June 30. Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.
Sometimes it’s the really small things that can make someone’s day. Like a freshly brewed coffee from your local cafe to share with a friend.
Taking your children on a playdate, party or school excursion to somewhere fun, without having to think about your weekly budget.
Seeing the latest blockbuster these days is a luxury not everyone can afford. Shout someone to the movies to share with a mate or family.
Why we need your help
Last year through community donations Matt* aged eight went to the cinemas for the first time, a memory he often talks about.
Matt’s family didn’t have much left at the end of the week after they paid for groceries, utilities, transportation and medical needs. This meant that it was the little things that couldn’t happen.
Funds raised through The Little Things Appeal changed this for him. When we spoke with Matt, he told us that it’s the “little memories that means so much” to him.
Whether you can fundraise or promote the appeal, you’ll be helping to provide practical yet life enriching little things – that can make a world of difference to someone doing it tough at the moment.
Download our supporter toolkit, it includes marketing images, logos, edm banners and social tiles to promote your support.
