School Readiness Program Facilitator

About the role:

Bethany is excited to advertise for the role of School Readiness Program Facilitator, based in Geelong. This is a casual position reporting to the Team Leader – Therapeutic Services.

Bethany is a state-wide provider of Working with Vulnerable Children professional development packages within the School Readiness Funding which is an ongoing part of the Victorian kindergarten funding model. The professional development packages aim to build the capacity of kindergarten services, educators, and families to support children’s learning and developmental outcomes. The newly developed packages provide learnings and experiential experiences in managing anxiety, understanding trauma, and building resilience in children aged 3 -5 years.

The core purpose of this role is to deliver therapeutic professional development packages to kindergarten educators and families through the school readiness funding, utilising online platforms and face to face.  Working hours will predominately be evenings (6:00pm – 9:00pm), with occasional daytime and Saturdays required. Some travel and overnight stays may also be required.  The facilitator will be provided with administration support with all session schedules in advance.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will hold:

  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, and/or related Early Years qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitation
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development and children experiencing anxiety and trauma
