School Readiness Programs

We support an inclusive environment where people of all genders and ages, people living with a disability, First Nations people and people from LGBTI and CALD communities feel empowered to share their experiences and ideas; knowing that these will be valued and respected. Our staff are well-informed and sensitive to lived experiences. They understand the complexities and challenges people face when accessing services. We are committed to working with you to understand your needs.

Bethany School Readiness Programs

Getting ready for school is an important milestone in a child’s life and it requires a strong foundation to start this journey for lifelong learning. Bethany provides extra support for kindergartens to ensure families are connected to their child’s education and wellbeing, as well as offering targeted support for children to grow, learn and play. Bethany intends to be a provider of School Readiness Programs in 2021, and services will be available in kindergarten settings across specified locations in Victoria.

About School Readiness Funding

School Readiness Funding is designed to ensure all children, regardless of their background and social vulnerability, and can reach their full potential and arrive at school ready to learn and thrive. School Readiness Funding recognises the important role kindergartens play in enabling children to benefit from the boost that early learning provides. Kindergartens can use this funding to purchase items on and off the school readiness menu to enhance their programs and better support children’s learning and development in three priority areas: communication (language development); wellbeing (social and emotional); and access and inclusion
