Support for families

We support an inclusive environment where people of all genders and ages, people living with a disability, First Nations people and people from LGBTI and CALD communities feel empowered to share their experiences and ideas; knowing that these will be valued and respected. Our staff are well-informed and sensitive to lived experiences. They understand the complexities and challenges people face when accessing services. We are committed to working with you to understand your needs.

Being a parent or guardian is one of the most important jobs you can do, but it can be very difficult. Often relationships with family members or partners can be challenging and stressful. We help families who are struggling with many issues and situations, including:

  • Needing advice or information
  • Managing a child’s behaviour
  • Establishing household routines
  • Experiencing family violence
  • Using violent behaviour towards women and children
  • Feeling isolated, lonely or worried
  • Seeing a family member struggle with drug or alcohol addiction
  • Gambling issues
  • Tenancy issues
  • Needing help with parenting skills
  • Problems at school or kinder
  • Family relationship difficulties
  • Post-separation issues

Bethany supports parents and carers to create safe, loving and connected environments for their children.
